Martha,
Here is what the bird house looks like this morning. We got about a foot of
snow capped in the night by about 1/2 inch of ice. Supposed to get more of
something later this afternoon.
Merry Christmas.

Martha,
More Artic Blast 2008, as the TV coverage would say.
I believe the first photo is a female Sharp Shinned Hawk - probably looking
for a small songbird for lunch. In the second photo, note that the fence
behind the pretty tree is 6" feet tall.
It has stopped snowing now but we ar looking at another storm coming into
the area on Christmas eve. All the kids and grandkids are here and Hicks
and Val are in the general area and should be here in the next hour.
Merry Christmas.
John

Martha & Peter
Day 8 of the Artic Blast 2008. No snow predicted for today. Another storm
to hit tomorrow morning with another 6"-8" predicted for here in the hills.
Offically we have a bit over 14" at the airport but considerably more here.
I believe it is about 20" but hard to be certain because on Saturday night
we has some pretty good east winds and some blowing and drifting. All of
the screens on the east side of the house are encrusted in snow then ice.
Merry Christmas
John
