We were rounding Whirlpool Point, on our way to the hatchery auction, when the shaft broke and the prop was lost to the sea.
We didn't hit anything. The shaft must have been flawed. We proceeded on the kicker but with minutes its prop "spun".
Shortly we got a tow to the auction at Big Bay Marina.
